Glendale Arizona Events
The chocolate experience will be presented by the City of Glendale on February 8 and 9, with the cerretaas offering popular chocolate and pizza bakeries. The event is held each year at the Glendale Civic Center and will be moved to a new downtown location, in front of City Hall. An exciting series of films will be brought to Arizona to honor our Jewish traditions and heritage.
This event will be an interactive evening where members will have the opportunity to show their artistic side and chat with other members during a painting class in the Arizona desert led by Happy Canvas (see picture on the right). A variety of works by Arizona artists, created in collaboration with the Glendale Public Library and other local art galleries, include a variety of works in a variety of media. Those who want to be there can come to the town hall on February 8 and 9 from 5 to 7.30 pm. The happiest gathering is invited to a special screening of "Pride and Prejudice and ZombiesA Zoom" on March 1, when the Glendale Public Library is proud to present it at the Gila River National Wildlife Refuge (not riding it!).

The GPJFF will screen some of the best Jewish themed films at the Harkins theaters in Scottsdale, Peoria and Tempe. Inspirations include the Encanto Park Coffeehouse, which has become a pearl lizard retreat, and the Gila River National Wildlife Refuge, which hosts its annual festival, the Glendora Lizard Festival.

The Folk Heritage Festival, which draws on the rich heritage of livestock, railways and mining, allows participants to experience the unique diversity of the Southwest. This unique event attracts locals, locals and visitors alike and is held every year to showcase and celebrate traditional Arizona music and culture through experiential learning, performances and workshops. Whether you are a music fan, music lover or just an occasional visitor to the area, there is plenty to see and do for the whole family.

The venue is part of the Glendale Sports and Entertainment District, which is expected to spur growth in the sparsely populated Yucca District. This is the first of two events at the venue and the second of three this year, and it is a great opportunity for a good old-fashioned beer and wine tasting.
Participants in the event are encouraged to start their day at Murphy Park on the corner of Main Street and Main Avenue in Glendaleas Yucca District to choose from a list of day activities. A variety of locally owned shops and restaurants, as well as local breweries, will offer live music and entertainment throughout the day, as well as opportunities to buy and take away beer, wine and spirits.
Every month, the Glendale Public Library offers a wide range of free programs and activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy. The Glendale Public Library presents virtual programs and events on the library's website.
The Chocolate Experience event is sponsored by Cerreta Candy Company and produced by the Glendale Public Library and the Arizona Department of Public Health and Human Services. This event will offer a variety of activities for children and adults as well as food, music and crafts in the afternoon, making it suitable for the whole family. The Folk Heritage Festival in Glendora produces and promotes a wide range of cultural events including concerts, dances, art, crafts, food and more.
